“With Pep, his technical staff and the world-class facilities, players have everything they need to improve. That was really enticing for me when I had the chance to come. And I can't deny I also want to win trophies. City have been the most successful club in England for many, many years, so I know I'm joining a winning environment and culture. I want to learn from the staff and teammates, and want to become a valued member of this winning team.
“I really am looking forward to getting going, meeting the other players and showing the Manchester City fans what I can do.Txiki Begiristain: “Omar [Marmoush] is an accomplished and exciting forward, and I’m delighted he’s joining us. He’s had an outstanding season, and every time we've watched him, he has influenced matches.
“He has all the attributes a top-class attacker requires. He has outstanding pace and awareness, and he's exceptional in front of goal. He can also play a number of different positions, which is a really valuable asset.
“I also have no doubt that working with Pep [Guardiola] and the technical staff at #ManCity will see him further develop his superb attacking talentOmar Marmoush: "@ErlingHaaland is a goal-machine and I’m very excited to be able to play with him on the pitch and learn some things from him also. Hopefully I can assist him, and we can enjoy playing together... I can't wait!"Omar Marmoush: “From being very young it was my dream to play in the Premier League. This league is very intense and fits the style of play I have and I’m just really happy to be here.
“It’s another test for me and this is just the beginning. Now my journey starts with #ManCity and hopefully we can win many trophies and gave many nice seasons together..Omar Marmoush: “The Bundesliga is very similar to the Premier League in style, but here the intensity is higher.
“Players coming from the German league to England [in my opinion], have it easier to adapt to the style of play and the intensity.

“I just want to get to know my #ManCity team-mates, get into the team and know what the coach wants from each and every one of us and try to function within the teamOmar Marmoush: “I’m so happy to be here. #ManCity is one of the biggest clubs in the world over the past 10 years, so it was not a question.
“It is an honour the club showed an interest in me and now I’m here. The last two seasons have been great, but it is just the beginning for me.
“It’s a pleasure and an honour for me and my family to be representing Manchester City. It makes them happy; it makes me happy my dreams are becoming reality. I’m really excited and can’t wait to meet my team-mates, get on the pitch and start my journey with the club.Omar Marmoush: “I’ve played many positions. For the national team I'm left wing most of the time. At my former club I was No.9, sometimes 10 and also an eight.
"I’ve also played right wing, so I can play all positions, but I feel most comfortable behind the striker in the No.10 where the way to goal is quicker - or shorter I should say - so I'm comfortable in all positions.
"But wherever I play, I'll always give my all to try and help. My main strength is I always want to win - that's from a character point of view. On the pitch I'm fast, good on the ball, try to see where spaces are and exploit spaces - and I’m dangerousOmar Marmoush: “It’s a big, big honour and I’m really, really happy to be the first player to play for #ManCity [from Egypt], showing what my country has.
“Representing my country at a big club like this was something I always dreamed of. My dreams are becoming a reality of being [the first Egyptian] at Manchester City and I hope I can keep up this level.
“The Premier League is in Egypt the biggest league and most followed league because of team-mates like Mo Salah and other Egyptian players that have played in the Premier League. Most of players growing up, our dream is to be here and that's why it makes me so happy that I'm here to reach this beautiful league..."
