Manchester City edged Bayern Munich 1-0 thanks to a debut goal from Erling Haaland which came after 12 minutes of play. The goal was assisted by City's record signing and man of the match Jack Grealish, with the all vital pass coming from Kevin deBruyne at the edge of the box.

The match was delayed by almost half an hour due to a storm which later reoccurred just after Haaland's breakthrough forcing the match to be stopped for a while. Following the resumption, total gametime was 80 minutes instead of the normal 90.

The match was the first ever soccer game played at Lambeau field, Wisconsin, Green bay in US whereby a record 78,128 football fanatics came to cheer their favourite teams in a friendly clash.
