Man city have added Rennes winger Jeremy Doku to their shortlist of possible Riyad Mahrez replacements.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Belgian international is now a target for the reigning European champions as City continue their search for a Mahrez replacement, with the winger joining Al-Ahli this summer.
The lightning-fast 21-year-old, alias the Belgian Flash, has been the subject of a rejected Aston Villa bid this summer.
Liverpool have been more recently linked with the Stade Rennais forward.
Doku made a good impression in his third season at Rennes, scoring seven goals, registering four assists, and earning a call-up to the World Cup Squad with Belgium.
Doku has missed 41 games in the last two seasons due to an accumulation of problems, all relatively short-term.
He has won the praises of top players and managers and now might be his time to step into a big team and prove them right.
